Second Pavia International Summer School for Indo-European Linguistics

The Second Pavia International Summer School for Indo-European Linguistics will be held from September 9 to September 14 at the University of Pavia. It will feature five courses, an invited lecture, and a poster session, in which students will be able to present their own research. Participation in the Summer School, including active participation in the Poster Session, stands for 3 ECTS.

On Saturday, we will move to Aula III (Cortile delle Statue, Central Building). The lecture on Thursday will take place in Aula Foscolo (Central Building). The cocktails on Monday and Saturday will be at Cortile delle Magnolie (Central Building).

Lunches will be served at the Mensa Fraccaro, Piazza Leonardo da Vinci.

Getting to Pavia

By plane:

Fly to Milan Linate or Malpensa, or to Orio al Serio (Bergamo).

From Linate, you can take a bus to Pavia (approx. one hour), a bus or a taxi (15 to 20 euros; 15 minutes) to Milan Central Station and then a train to Pavia (25 to 40 minutes), or a minibus ATM to Milan Dateo (leaves every 30 minutes in front of the airport), and then change to train S13 to Pavia.

From Malpensa, take a train to Milano Bovisa and change at Bovisa station to train S13 to Pavia (approx. 2 hours)

From Orio al Serio, take a bus to Milan Central Station (approx. an hour), then take a train to Pavia. You can also take city bus 1 to Bergamo train station, then take a train to Milan (approx. 40 minutes) and connect to Pavia at Milan Lambrate (approx. 25 minutes).

Pavia is on the line Milan-Genua, and is served by long distance trains from Milan Central Station, and local trains from Central Station or from Milan Rogoredo:
